Last week was a strange week for me. I really had to kick off from my adventures in Paris. We had such a nice time there that it was quite hard to get back to real life. Last weekend, I landed back on earth and became normal again .
As I told you in the previous blogpost about the workshop, we had a great time. We went taking shots around the Eiffel Tower on Tuesday. Jerry explained -while he was shooting- what he did and why. It was so interesting that I even forgot to take pictures myself . At one point, I remembered there was a 'power on' button on the camera and I joined making pictures. Jerry made always the set up. He was the creator of the images and was in the perfect angle to make the shot he had in mind. We were standing around hem and shooting from different angles. So all honour and credit to Jerry for these great poses and light, he made the photo! We were just shooting along. I just want to mention that none of the pictures had any photoshop. They come straight out of the camera so that is kind of cool he?? Here are some pictures of that afternoon and later on as well in the evening when we were shooting near the Notre Dame and the Louvre:

I just love these shots! Dave & Charlotte just got engaged so it became real engagement sessions for them!

On wednesday we started of with commenting on the 10 minutes we each got to create a picture ourselves and this was my photo of that day:

I was nervous again of course since it wasn't a perfect picture to me with all the people running around the Eiffel Tower. Apart from these people there were some small things to improve on the image. Jerry called it a fashionable shoot and I got the light right . Dave & Charlotte were so friendly to pose in this heat for all of us. They must have been exhausted after their flight, jetlag and the heat...love their work as photographers as well!
I was more at ease after the critique - didn't need any martini next to me - and started to look forward to do some more shooting that day. We walked to Montmartre - the part of Paris which I love - and took some shots again. It is really so nice to see Jerry working it out and it seems like he has some radar on all the time to look for perfection in everything. I truely admire his way of working and looking around for things. Since I got back home, I noticed that I look around all the time as well ! Crazy thing! Here are some shots we took that day. Again, no photoshop and Jerry composed it all. We were around him shooting from different points of view. All credit to Jerry.

When my 10 minutes were there I started to be freaking nervous again because this time I really wanted it to be WAUWWAUWWAUW! Hazel & Alex are a dream couple to shoot and I just love them. Even when I was totally falling apart from stress they wanted to work with me to get the perfect image. So, this is my shot:

On thursday we had comments on our images and although I thought it was an amazing shot... my nerves started to play again. This time Jerry said nothing at all. It was the perfect photo! It was nice to hear that everything was just right. Honoustly, I'm quite in love with this photo .
Some behind the scenes of us:

Both shots above were taken by Vadym

and the one above by Marc Archibald's wife
We continued on marketing and album designing which was as well very interesting. Before we knew it was Friday afternoon and we had to get back to our lives and weddings to shoot. Before we left for our trains or planes we took some photos.

Hazel is a really good photographer and a lovely person. I'm already excited to meet with her & Alex in December since we will fly to Miami! We seriously need to have a mojito together !
We took one for the road with Alex and the 3 girls:

With Mark Elola who is a very talented photographer as well, just love his work and who was so friendly to accept the shootsacs for us . No one looking in the same direction... we must be photographers for that !

And last but not least... the photo with the master himself: Liesbeth, Jerry Ghionis and me!

We don't know if you'll ever be reading any of our blogs but if you do: a mega huge thank you for the energy, the positivness, the kindness and all of the information you shared with us over the days. It was just perfect! Thank you Jerry!
